The Eco League is a consortium of five colleges and universities that share similar missions and value systems based on environmental responsibility, social change and educating students to build a sustainable future. The Eco League consists of small liberal arts institutions with strong programs in environmental science, marine biology, outdoor studies, education and other academic programs. These colleges all stress experiential education so that students are prepared to take on real world challenges when they graduate. Current participants are Alaska Pacific University, Prescott College, Northland College, College of the Atlantic, and Green Mountain College.

Prescott College participates in a Memorandum of Agreement with the Consortium for Innovative Environments in Learning (CIEL) that provided student exchange opportunities across all CIEL campuses. The agreement includes study abroad programs, giving student the opportunity to take courses that are not offered at their home institutions.
 |
The exchanges also offer students the opportunity to move for a time from a private to a public college or vice versa, experiencing vastly different campus cultures and different political and socio-economic milieus, living in a different geographical region, taking advantage of curricular opportunities and faculty expertise not present on the home campus, developing a rich comparative perspective. |
CIEL exchanges can be competitive, and some of the CIEL members don’t participate in exchanges. Berea and Gallatin are not exchange schools. Students interested in a CIEL exchange should contact the individual school they are interested in to find out about exchange availability and admission requirements.
CIEL Members 2008: Alverno College; Berea College; Daemen College; The Evergreen State College; Fairhaven College at Western Washington University; Gallatin School of Individualized Study, New York University; Hampshire College; Johnson C. Smith University; Marlboro College; New Century College and University Life of George Mason University; New College of Florida; Pitzer College; and Prescott College.
